Warren Attends Victor Wooten Workshop

Victor Wooten is the author of The Music Lesson: A Spiritual Search for Growth through Music and is recognized by many as one of finest bass players alive.  Warren and Elsie attended one of Victor’s workshops on Gabriola Island at The Haven from March 2–4.  The Workshop was stacked with world-class musicians and we were given a new perspective on the elements of music and how it touches people.  We learned about technique, space, articulation, timing, tone, feeling, notes, and we are seeing things differently and playing new notes and grooves!   

Warren goes to Washington

In the week of February 21, Warren participated in a National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA) seminar on wind integration in Washington DC.  In the attached letter, Jay Morrison, Senior Regulatory Counsel, NRECA expresses appreciation for Warren’s participation in the seminar.

Warren Frost Attends Power-Gen International – Las Vegas

Warren attended the Power-Gen International Convention at the Las Vegas Convention Center on December 8, 2009.  The Convention was a 3 day event that included over 18,000 attendees and exhibitors and provided a forum to discuss market trends & strategies, environmental issues, renewable energy and storage technologies, distributed generation and operations & maintenance and to display and demonstrate latest generation technologies.

Warren Frost Receives NERC Award for Distinguished Service and Leadership

Warren attended the NERC Integration of Variable Generation Task Force (IVGTF) meeting in Austin Texas on December 5, 2009.  At this meeting, Warren was recognized for distinguished service and leadership of the IVGTF from January 1, 2008 to December 2009.  Warren continues to be actively involved in the efforts of the IVGTF to develop standards and practices that will enable the integration of thousands of MW’s of variable generation (i.e. wind, solar) into the electric power grid across North America.

Warren Frost Attends the APEX Conference in Sydney Australia

In October 2008, Warren Frost on behalf of the AESO, accepted the R. J. Templin award for technical excellence from CanWEA.
