Warren has extensive knowledge and experience in power system operations including emerging technology issues and he recently chaired the Integration of Variable Generation Task Force for the North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC).  Warren has been involved in electric industry restructuring for several years and is an expert in the synthesis of technical, practical and political perspectives. 

A graduate of the University of Alberta, with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, he is a member of the Association of Professional Engineers, Geologists and Geophysicists of Alberta (APEGGA) and former member of the Transmission Council of the Canadian Electricity Association and the Operating Committee of the NERC.
